What is Cure For A Cutie?

Let's start off with an Intro.

My name is Corrine, and i'm the owner of Cure For A Cutie (C4AC). My mom and I run Cure For A Cutie and we have big plans for it :) So, were just regular people living in New Jersey with a dream. Our dream? We want to help everyone with Diabetes.

So, let's talk about the name Cure For A Cutie..

We chose the name Cure For A Cutie because, C4AC is about raising awarness about Diabetes, and raising money to donate to The American Diabetes Association to help find a cure for Diabetes through Change For The Children (www.changeforthechildren.org). Change For The Children is the Jonas Brothers' Foundation. "We started The Change for the Children Foundation to support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed. And we think the best people to help children are their peers -- kids helping other kids who are a little less fortunate." -Jonas Brothers. Nick Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers) was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 13. So, basically were donating money to the American Diabetes Association in honor of everything Nick does for us, hence Cure For A Cutie (Cutie being Nick).

Please note: we also donate money to Kevin and Joe's cause :) For example: I (Corrine) couldn't go to Texas for Joe's iWin Fun Run, so I ran on my treadmill, and I donated money to his cause :)

So, now that you know what Cure For A Cutie means, i'd like to share with you what my mom and I have planned for the next year.

This winter my mom and I will be immensley busy planning. Were going to have a Walk for Diabetes next summer. It will be similar to Relay For Life, exept were raising money for Diabetes :)

Right now, were in the idea stage. There's not much to do right now, but to get planning. We need as much help as we can get, so we'd appreciate any help! :) Theres not much to it right now, but below I will list some ideas we have :)


IDEAS:
-Were thinking about making braceletts (like the Livestrong bracelets), they'll have CureForACutie and American Diabetes Association on them. Then we'd sell them at the walk, and donate that money to the ADA also.
-Were thinking about having a Chinese Auction table at the walk also. We'd get people to donate baskets, and get buisnesses to donate giftcards, and then have a Chinese Auction while people are walking.
-We'd have refreshments and food. (and of course, a porta potty)
-Were also thinking about having either a DJ or maybe some local bands?
